Increase eco-friendly & efficient energy use

Regardless of your financial situation, cutting costs is always a welcome prospect. Here’s an interesting fact: in the Greater Montreal area, there are government grants specifically designed for air conditioning, heating, and heat pump systems. These grants have been established to encourage the adoption of eco-friendly and energy-efficient solutions.

AirMagique is committed to help you understand these requirements and ensure you qualify for grants.  Reach out to our experts  to give you the right information for your possible eligibility to grant programs.

Grants available in the Greater Montreal area

The Roulez Vert government program encourages the installation of new home charging stations for electric vehicles by offering lump-sum financial assistance of $600* with the purchase and installation of a 240-volt home charging station.

Be sure to plan your electrical work!

In Quebec, the Construction Code mandates that all electrical work must be completed by a licensed electrical contractor, certified by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec. Contact us to schedule an appointment!

Check out the list of eligible charging stations for the Roulez Vert program.

* Certain conditions apply. Some dealers, manufacturers, or municipalities may offer promotions on the purchase or installation of a home charging station. If you’ve already received financial assistance to cover these costs, you may not qualify for reimbursement under the Roulez Vert program.

The Chauffez Vert program, administered by the Government of Quebec, is designed to encourage residents to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by offering financial assistance for the replacement of oil or propane heating systems with renewable energy sources. This initiative is part of Quebec’s broader environmental strategy to fight climate change by promoting more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly heating options.

  • The program provides up to $1,275 in financial assistance for the removal of an oil or propane heating system and the installation of an electric heating system.
  • Additional incentives may be available for the removal of oil tanks and for improving insulation, depending on the specific work carried out.

* Eligible properties include single-family homes, duplexes, and triplexes.

The Dual Energy Grant in Quebec is part of the province’s broader efforts to encourage homeowners to transition to more environmentally friendly heating systems, particularly focusing on reducing reliance on fossil fuels like natural gas. It offers financial assistance for the installation of dual energy heating systems, which combine electric power with a secondary source like natural gas. The program promotes greater energy efficiency and cost savings while helping to lower greenhouse gas emissions.

  • The dual energy grant offers significant financial support to help cover the costs of upgrading from a single fuel system (natural gas) to a dual energy system.
  • The amount of financial assistance may vary based on the type of system being installed and the scope of the work, but it can typically cover a large portion of installation and conversion costs.

In addition to the many grants available to help you reduce the cost of purchasing and installing new appliances, the dual energy electricity-natural gas mode allows you to take advantage of the Logis Vert DT Rate.

* Replacing the existing gas appliance is not a requirement to receive the grant!

The Logis Vert program, run by Hydro-Québec, is designed to promote energy efficiency and reduce electricity consumption in multi-unit residential buildings across Quebec. This program aims to help property owners and managers make energy-efficient upgrades, leading to long-term savings on electricity bills while contributing to Quebec’s environmental goals.

  • The Logis Vert program offers financial incentives to cover a portion of the costs associated with energy-efficient upgrades.
  • The amount of financial support varies based on the energy savings potential of the projects. Larger projects with significant energy reduction potential typically receive more support.
  • The program aims to help offset the initial investment costs of upgrading a building’s energy efficiency, making it easier for property owners to implement greener technologies.

*Simple and quick since it does not require a blower door test (or airtightness test), this grant is accessible to a wider audience: it is offered to owners of single-family homes, but also if you own a condo!
The amount, which can be as much as $7,840*, varies according to the power and efficiency of the device in low temperatures.
